Hello Macau,
We are sorry you do not like our web site. It was set up free by volunteers to support the drive to save our speedway at Western Springs. It is our intention to have all of great or interesting people who participated or competed at the stadium mentioned on our site. We deliberately started with the more historic era to emphasize the just how far back speedway at Western Springs goes. This was done to support our case to council and others of the heritage Auckland has in our speedway. Also, we can’t put it all up at once. There is our recent Hall of Fame where chronologically a few at a time, all of our great icons will be inducted. Already we have six people inducted as you will see by clicking on the Hall of Fame. Big plaques of the history of these greats will be displayed in our clubroom along with the painting you mention which is on full prominent display. Please don’t be confused Macau, Sleepy Tripp, Stan Fox, Mel Kenyon, A.J. Foyt, Trevor Morris, Bob Tattersal, Jeff Freeman, Jeff Gordon, Barry Butterworth, are already there and the others will appear over a period so there is something new for regular visitors to see when they click on our site. Yes we are so far behind everyone else. I suppose that is why you think our web site is so lousy.
