Gap back to J Taylor, G Harris, N McNabb.  Lap 6 red lights on, James Earl and Aaron Wrightson tumbled, then an official got hit by one of the cars on the infield. He was taken away in ambulance but was conscious and is ok, so that is good news. Track took awhile to clear, race was shortened to 12 laps.

On the restart Warren took the lead from Linklater, close dicing between Brett and Linklater, then Brett got out shape and lost a lot of ground. Darren kept his lead to win the race.

Sprint Car Feature” 20 laps  15 starters.

This was "Waco"s last full time drive at the Springs. Jamie McDonald paid him a tribute by flying a flag with the words “Thanks Waco you are a legend”  nice touch.

Wakeling started on pole, but it was the young gun O’Connor who won the start, then soon developed a huge lead from the field. McDonald retired to the infield, then later Nelson Hartley’s car was smoking and retired.
